1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Rock Identifier: Minerals AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Rock Identifier: Minerals AI is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to identify rocks, minerals, crystals, and fossils from photographs and return a primary identification with confidence score, top-2 alternatives, Mohs hardness estimate, chemical formula, rock type, formation context, estimated specimen value range, and a built-in field-test walk-through. The App is developed and published by Bulpara Inc.

3. Informational Purposes Only

The App provides AI-generated analysis for informational and educational purposes. Identifications, Mohs hardness estimates, crystal-system calls, chemical-formula predictions, and specimen-value ranges are subjective, probabilistic, and may be wrong. Results must not be used as the sole basis for purchase, sale, insurance, or appraisal decisions. For high-value specimens, always confirm with a certified gemologist, geologist, or laboratory analysis (XRF, Raman, etc.).

4. No Warranty of Accuracy or Value

Mineral identification from a phone photograph is inherently imprecise — even expert geologists disagree on species from photos alone. A primary identification or an estimated value from the App does not guarantee the indicated species, category, hardness, or market value. You assume all financial and safety risk associated with buying, selling, or valuing any specimen based on the App's output. The estimated value range is explicitly a hobbyist-grade estimate and is not a professional appraisal.

5. Field-Test Safety

The App's in-app field-test walk-through suggests hardness scratch tests, streak tests, magnet tests, and a household-vinegar acid test. These tests may leave permanent marks on specimens. Never perform the acid test with anything other than common household white vinegar, and never on historic or high-value specimens. Adults must supervise children performing any test. You perform field tests at your own risk.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the App complies with all applicable laws, including consumer-protection and resale-disclosure regulations in your jurisdiction. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App without parental supervision. You agree not to represent App-generated identifications as certified or professional appraisals.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, icons, AI prompts, Mohs reference data, and branding, is the intellectual property of Bulpara Inc. and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Your submitted photos and the analyses you receive belong to you.

8. Subscription Terms

Premium features require an active subscription. Pricing:

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Apple's terms and policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

9. Auto-Renewal

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase.

The Crystal mode surfaces traditional chakra and metaphysical associations alongside physical properties. This content is clearly labeled "Traditional belief, not scientific" and is provided for cultural and educational reference only. Bulpara makes no claim that any metaphysical association is physiologically, spiritually, or medically accurate, and the App must not be used as medical or therapeutic advice.

13. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. In no event shall Bulpara Inc. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App — including but not limited to financial loss, injury resulting from field tests, mispurchase, resale disputes, or any other loss resulting from reliance on identifications, property estimates, or value ranges generated by the App.

14. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the transmission of your photos to our servers for AI analysis as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for users who violate these terms or abuse the service. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
